Oesophageal Cancer

Oesophageal cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the food pipe grow in an uncontrolled way. The oesophagus is also known as the gullet. It is the tube that carries food from  mouth to  stomach. Oesophageal cancer does not usually cause any symptoms in the early stages when the tumor is small. It’s only when it gets bigger that symptoms tending to develop.
